Jean L. Chou, Esq.
With over a decade of real estate and entrepreneurship experience, Jean believes human connection, hands-on collaboration and open communication are keys to fostering successful client relationships. She garnered an extensive background in real estate and development through her work at Blesso Properties, known for its award-winning design portfolio and eco-conscious projects, and TDR Equities, a Manhattan commercial real estate firm. She has clerked under the Honorable Shirley W. Kornreich in NYS Supreme Court, where her first judicial opinion on commercial property damage was published in the court reports. Jean’s prior experience at trusts and estates firms has become a natural synergy when advising our clients on strategic real estate and tax planning matters. Private practice aside, Jean has also contributed years of service to pro bono representation, including fighting for asylum for LGBT individuals who feared persecution in their home countries, obtaining orders of protection for domestic violence victims and providing tax assistance to low-income families. Jean was born in Philadelphia to Taiwanese parents and is an avid world traveler. She is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and has since lived in New Jersey, Boston and Australia but now considers New York her home.
